The pages open up really nicely because there’s no hard spine to prevent it laying completely flat. So this little notebook is going to make the perfect art journal… Does that mean I have to start an art journal?
Summer is flying by, and with summer camps and classes over I’ve finally gotten the chance to learn something new myself. I have been waiting for weeks and wasn’t entirely sure I’d get the opportunity, but this past week I was one of the lucky few who got to take a new class in a new format – the bookmaking “staycation” at the Art Center.
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying all of my new classes this semester; it’s just that I never considered what life would be like teaching three new classes at once. In a word, it’s been a whirlwind.
I’d show pictures of my dining room, which looks like it’s been hit by a whirlwind for sure, but… I’m sure you’d rather see photos of all the cool projects I’ve been up to instead.
It’s the Winter Sale at the Art Center, and I’ve had nary a chance to blog about all the artwork I’ve been doing – books mostly, but also Blue Boxes.

I managed to put together some basic supplies and started playing around with mixed media. The first one ended up in the trash. The second one… well, let’s just say it didn’t turn out like I expected.
